MEDIA ADVISORY: CAIR-NY: New York Muslim Leadership, Palestinian and Human Rights Groups to Demand End to Suppression of Rights, Incitement Against Muslims
(NEW YORK, NY, 10/12/2023) – On Friday, Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m. ET, New York-area human rights, legal and community organizations will hold a press conference at City Hall to demand New York and federal elected officials, as well as university presidents and chancellors, cease their attacks on the free speech rights of New Yorkers, Palestinians, students, and their supporters
News conference participants will call for an end to racist incitement against Palestinians and will demand actions to ensure Palestinians, students, the Muslim community, and supporters are protected in their physical safety and their right to free speech.
They will also call for an immediate halt to all political and material support for Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity in Palestine.
