“We were gratified to see hundreds of participants support our message of solidarity and support for the Muslim community,” said CAIR-NY Legal Director, Albert Cahn. “We are happy that our rally concluded without any arrests or confrontations, from beginning to end a call for peaceful, non-violent, solidarity. We’re saddened to learn that there may have been violence and or injuries at separate, unaffiliated rallies.”
“The moral spirit of our nation has always been anchored by love of community, diversity, and inclusion, ” said New York City Loves Muslims co-founder, Mohammed Naeem. “In many small strokes, it is this love that eventually fills the canvas of our democracy.”
