Trump’s victory fuels surge of panic donations to liberal groups

On Nov. 10, two days after the election, Brian David Smith, a 33-year-old art director who lives in Oregon, tweeted that he became a member of, and donated to, the ACLU and the NAACP for the first time.

“I wish it hadn’t taken the election of Trump to finally motivate me,” Smith told The Post. “But here we are.”
