CAIR-NY says "NO" to Muslim Registry
President-elect Donald Trump and other members of the Republican party have repeatedly called for a Muslim registry in the United States. In opposition, a letter supporting the Protect American Families Act was drafted by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to be sent to Congress. We are proud to announce that CAIR-NY has officially signed on to this letter in support of the preservation of civil rights for all. The Protect American Families Act would prohibit "the institution of a federally-funded registry that is facially discriminatory and targets individuals based on race, age, gender, national origin, nationality, citizenship, religion, and/or ethnicity."
