Lamya Agarwala, Esq.
Supervising Attorney
Lamya Agarwala serves as Supervising Attorney in CAIR-NY's legal department. Prior to joining CAIR-NY, she provided legal services to refugees and immigrants from all over the world at the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP). Her commitment to and passion for civil liberties predates her time at CAIR-NY: she was a legal fellow with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and has interned with the Brennan Center for Justice's National Security Project. Lamya holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior, as well as in Criminology, Law, and Society, from the University of California, Irvine. Lamya is a member of the New York bar.
