The New York chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relation (CAIR-NY) is hosting a screening of the film "Watched" at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
"Watched" tells the stories of Muslim students at Brooklyn College who experienced major life disruptions and psychological trauma during and after NYPD Muslim surveillance program involving a undercover agent at Brooklyn college over the years 2011 to 2015. Agent ‘Mel’ infiltrated the college MSA by posing as a student and over time she became part of the MSA students’ circle. In this film, two MSA students ‘M’ and ‘F’ share their pain and trauma inflicted by this invasive state surveillance.
